Professional Background
Prior to launching this independent practice, Steve served as a Partner and Chief Financial Officer for 15 years for Maurer Farms of Vermilion, Ohio, a 2,000-acre grain operation. In this role, he oversaw all financial operations, tax compliance, and strategic planning for the enterprise. Following the dissolution of that business, he transitioned from Private Industry into Public Accounting in 2022 to provide direct, expert-level tax and advisory services to the public.
Education and Credentials
The firm is led by a deep understanding of tax law and business strategy. Steve earned a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Toledo in 2004, following a 2001 Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from the same institution.
During his academic career, he was a distinguished member and officer of Beta Alpha Psi, the national honor organization for financial information professionals. His commitment to the field was demonstrated through his leadership roles as Vice President and Reporting Secretary, ensuring the highest standards of reporting and organizational integrity—values that continue to define the operations of this firm today.
